Gert Voorjans has the pleasure to welcome you to the art book presentation “Sarajevo to Paris” by Marleen Daniëls
The work of Marleen Daniëls covers three decades of reportage and art photography. Marleen became known for her picture stories about child labour in India and the siege of Sarajevo during the Bosnian war. In parallel she photographed the creative work of the most famous Belgian and international fashion designers behind the scenes during the fashion weeks in Paris and Milan.
The impressive 813-page book 'Sarajevo to Paris', published in cooperation with Bruno Devos, is a compilation of a wealth of images from her fashion work unique archives and brings an eclectic, idiosyncratic look at a bygone era.
"Sarajevo to Paris" is published by Stockmans Art Books, and designed by Nousjka Daniels. With texts by Veerle Windels, Eve Demoen, Femke Vandenbosch and Marleen Daniels.
A selection of unique prints will be presented at our gallery.
